There have been rumours circulating that ASUS is about to release a new gaming-focused handset. There’s been some uncertainty about whether ASUS will dub it the ROG Phone 4 or Phone 5 but low res photos suggest they’ll be going with the ASUS Rog Phone 5 moniker.
Over in China before devices are released they show up on TENAA, a certification device. Specs of the device are included, as well as some low res photos.
On the back of the handset, we can see the logo is lit up via loads of individual LEDs. This appears underneath the branding of Tencent and 05, which points to this being the ASUS ROG Phone 5.
It will feature a 6.78″ display, a Snapdragon 888 processor and two 3000mAh batteries. It’s likely to feature a fast refresh rate for gaming and will hopefully have fast-charging. Unfortunately, other specs are currently unknown for now.
