Crash Bandicoot 4 to get Xbox Series X and PS5 update

Following on from the huge success of Crash Bandicoot Remastered Trilogy, released exclusively for PS4 we later saw it released on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Then last year we eventually saw the sequel to the series: Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, released for both PS4 and Xbox One. It certainly was about time; The Wrath of Cortex, aka Crash Bandicoot 3 was released back in 2001. There’s been a couple of Crash Bandicoot games since then, including 2007’s Mind over Mutant but, none were a true successor to the original trilogy series.

Just like the Trilogy series, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been a great success and well-reviewed. It’s now been announced that it will be getting the next-gen upgrade. If you already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, the upgrade will be released for free (excluding Japan) on March 12th and will give players 4K and 60FPS gameplay. If you haven’t yet purchased it, it will cost £59.99 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 for the digital editions.

As well as receiving a next-gen upgrade, Activision are also releasing the game on Nintendo Switch on March 12th. It’s available to pre-order now for £44.99 from the Nintendo Store. Activision hasn’t forgotten about PC gamers either. The game will be coming to PC via Battle.net later in the year. Like the Switch, you can pre-order the game now for £34.99.
