It’s a rumor that had surfaced a while back about the Note 3 but, the the idea of a fingerprint scanner on the Note 3 was quickly quashed. Until now that is. Samsung are yet to officially announce the Note 3, that won’t be for another hour or so but, a Samsung employee has apparently confirmed that the Note 3 will feature a fingerprint scanner.
The employee is said to work at Samsung’s R&D center and the employee has stated that there will be a fingerprint scanner on the back of the Note 3. As well as enabling another level of security, the employee has said that the Note 3 will feature dual-user mode. It’s not clear if this is due to the version of Android that it will ship with or if it’s a feature Samsung themselves have included. When the owner of the handset users the fingerprint scanner, they will see their apps, wallpaper, settings etc but, if someone else uses it, the handset will go into guest mode.
Whether this turns out to be true or not, we don’t have very long at all until we know for sure.
