There were rumors that Google would be launching their own branded tablet and Google have now officially announced their first tablet. It will also be the first Android tablet to run Android Jellybean, aka Android 4.1 which was also announced by Google today.
The Nexus 7 tablet features a 7 inch display with a 1280×800 resolution, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor and comes with the usual connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The tablet has been made by ASUS for Google and weighs in at 340 grams.
The Google Nexus 7 comes in an 8GB and 16GB variant with no expandable memory slot. Pricing starts at $199/£159 for the 8GB version. The 16GB model is priced at $249/£199.
