Here’s something that Google didn’t announce as a feature for the Nexus 7. Someone has discovered that the 7 inch tablet features a magnetic sensor that puts the Nexus 7 to sleep, in a similar way to that of Apple’s iPad 2 and iPad 3.
The video shows us that the magnetic sensor is in the bottom left of the tablet, where as the iPad’s sensors are found on the right hand side. In the video we see a magnet being moved around the chassis and we can see at which point the tablet reacts to the magnetism. Engadget have also confirmed that they were able to replicate this action.
