Nintendo add two more limited edition Switch consoles to their lineup

When Nintendo released the Nintendo Switch back in 2017 it came in two configurations: neon and grey. The grey version had two grey joycons, while the Neon version came with a red and a blue joycon. Since then Nintendo have released the Switch in a few other limited edition models, including a bright pink and green joycon model for Splatoon 2, two red joycons for Super Mario Odyssey and more recently an Animal Crossing themed Nintendo Switch with a pastel blue and green joy cons. On some of these limited-edition versions, Nintendo has also added a design to the dock for the Switch but, has kept the main Switch component with the display the standard grey.

With one of Nintendo’s newest limited edition Switch consoles that has changed. Released this week to coincide with the release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, comes the Switch Mario Red & Blue edition featuring two red joycons and an actual Switch display part also in red. In this bundle, you will find a matching red dock, a blue joycon controller holder and blue joycon straps. Also included in the bundle is a matching protective case. The Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue can be purchased in various bundles, with just the console and matching accessories, or with the game right now.

As well as releasing this on February 12th, come March 26th there will also be a Monster Hunter Rise edition of the console. This will have more of a subdued look and is essentially the grey version of the Switch but, with added Monster Hunter Rise insignia on the joycons and dock. The bundle is priced at £339.99 and comes with a digital edition of the game and is available to pre-order now.
