There had been reports previously that when Samsung announce their third generation Galaxy Note phone, that it wouldn’t be the only thing Samsung announced. There were rumors that Samsung would also announce their own smartwatch along side the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Over at Sam Mobile they have “confirmed” that Samsung will launch the Samsung Gear smartwatch on September 4th when they announce the Galaxy Note 3 at the Unpacked 2 press event. The Samsung Gear will carry the model number of SM-V700 and it is of course expected to work very well with the Note 3. Hopefully it will also work very well with older Samsung Android smartphones and tablets for that matter.
While this isn’t official confirmation from Samsung, we won’t get that until September, Sam Mobile have been pretty spot on in the past and it ties in with other rumors that had been circulating prior to this “confirmation”.
