Samsung to announce Galaxy Note 3 and smart watch September 4th

We’ve already heard many rumors surrounding the next handset in the Galaxy Note range. One such rumor being that Samsung would unveil it on September 4th, just before IFA starts in Berlin this year. However it looks like it won’t just be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that the Korean company announce.

There are rumors suggesting that as well as announcing the Galaxy Note 3 which is said to feature a 5.7 inch display, Samsung will also announce their own Android smart watch. It’s likely to offer similar functionality to that of the Sony smartwatch. Samsung’s version is rumored to be called the Samsung Gear based on a trademark filed by the company earlier this month. The UPSO lists the Samsung Gear as “watches that communicate data to personal digital assistants, smart phones, table PCs, PDA, and personal computers through internet websites and other computer and electronic communications networks; watchbands that communicate data to [the same aforementioned devices].”
